February Display Idea: National Engineers Week

Tuesday, February 1st, 2011

by Sarah Statz Cords

In conjunction with our monthly Display Brainstorming posts, we’d like to start offering a new feature of suggested displays, titles, and book lists. These lists are meant more to be creative kickstarters than comprehensive lists, and we invite your suggestions in the comments for other related books! We’d also like to hear if this is a feature that will be useful to you, or ways we could improve it—just let us know in the comments. And, as always, if you’re a subscriber to the Reader’s Advisor Online, every title that is a link takes you into the database for that title, where you’ll find more great reading suggestions and ways to find other related reads and read-alikes!

From Chase’s Calendar of Events 2011: “National Engineers Week, Feb. 20-26.

The 60th annual observance, cosponsored by more than 140 national engineering societies, federal agencies and major corporations, will feature classroom programs in elementary and secondary schools throughout the U.S…For information: National Engineers Week Foundation, 1420 King St., Alexandria, VA 22314.
