Planes, Trains, and Lanes
Our peripatetic spies spotted the following books being read by their fellow travelers this week. We decided just for fun to try categorizing the readers by age and gender to see if we could spot any patterns. This is what we came up with. Any comments?
20-Something Women
Philip Delves Broughton – Ahead of the Curve: Two Years at Harvard Business School
Charles C. Mann – 1491: New Revelations of the Americas Before Columbus
Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child – Riptide
20-Something Men
Joe Torre and Tom Verducci – The Yankee Years
30-Something Women
Jodi Picoult – My Sister’s Keeper
30-Something Men
Ramachandra Guha – India After Gandhi: The History of the World’s Largest Democracy
Middle-Aged Women
Mitch Albom – Have a Little Faith
Cynthia Freeman – Fairytales
John Grisham – The Associate
Middle-Aged Men
Harlan Coben – Fade Away
Bernard Cornwell – Lords of the North
William P. Young – The Shack
If you spot a title or two as you travel around, please share and we’ll include them in the column. Just send them to raoblog@lu.com
